The next weather advisory we had was a flood watch. It rained for about 36 hours. The rivers and creeks flood easily. The photos are some of the results of the rain that we saw.
We went to Damascus, VA. Lots of trails there to walk. One of the few relatively warm days…it was in the 50‘s!
There were raging rapids!
Cute little town on the Virginia Creeper rail line.
This is Lansing, NC. We had walked here in the snow a few days ago. It is now flooded. This small bridge to homes is completely flooded.
These photos are of Helton Creek where our cabin is. The little one lane bridge is as close to being flooded as it can be!
A foggy day. The road going into the Helton Creek area greet us with “Love You”!
We had one nice day and got out and walked the trail. It leads to the “Glamping” site. That’s fancy camping. Needless to say, no one uses it in the winter.
